Wooden On Criticism

"Good leadership requires all the resources of the head and heart you can muster. Too much from the head and you forget that all leadership is about people; too much from the heart and you can't make those tough decisions that may hurt some of those people (90)."

Do you tend to err on the side of the heart or the head?

  1. Head, though I do more from the heart than ever in my life.

  2. This is such a struggle for me as I tend to be such a people-pleaser by nature. I don't want anyone to be unhappy. But the reality is that good leaders are going to make people unhappy. It goes with the territory. There are some very important decisions that must be made with the head.
